Reggie Banks, Sr.

Reggie Banks, Sr. was born in Little Rock, Ar. the first child of eleven by Callie & Willie Banks. Our parents left their farms in Little Rock about a year later, to travel to the bustling, more cosmopolitan, metropolis of Kansas City, Mo. Initial culinary concepts were trial and error cooking, for the family at-large of 7 boys & 4 girls. Formal education increased the "thirst for knowledge," by continuing studies in Electrical Engineering Technology at Longview Community College, and Ohio State University CEU with Professor Battison. He became the President of I.A.T.S.E & M.P.M.O. of US and Canada(International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees & Moving Picture Machine Operators of the United States and Canada). And after his elected position with I.A.T.S.E. and AMC(American Multi-Cinema AKA Durwood Theaters). As a projectionist Reggie attained a position with KCTV-5/CBS News & Sports.

In August 1994 BCP(tm) was formed, a 501(C)3 nonprofit corporation whose mission was to teach the tenets, of the pros and cons of the performing arts industries, through the auspices of "Social Media Literacy." This led to the publishing of the KCKIDZ(tm) RECIPEEZ cookbook as a fundraiser, for Blackberry Castle Productions & its children's educational soap opera, "The Really Young & The Very Restless." Plus, coming soon from BCP, will be "Cooking at the Castle(tm)," featuring recipeez(tm) from celebrities, Dr. Bill Cosby, LeVar Burton, and Florence Henderson, to name a few. Reggie has also covered many news assignments as a licensed FCC 1st Class Radiotelephone, broadcast microwave & satellite engineer with KCTV-5/CBS News and Sports; and most recently as a photojournalist for News Local.
